JSPS guidance seminar at Chiang Mai University

On June 7, JSPS Bangkok Office organized JSPS guidance seminar at Chiang Mai University (CMU). CMU, founded in 1964, is known as the first institution of higher education in northern Thailand. Approximately 25 participants came to the seminar.

Prior to the seminar, we made a courtesy visit to Dr. Sampan Singharajwarapan, We shared information regarding to the selection of the international programs offered by JSPS in recent years.

In the beginning of the seminar, Prof. Yamashita, Director of JSPS Bangkok office, expressed his gratitude for holding the seminar.
In the presentation, Mr. Tomiyama, Deputy Director, introduced JSPS’s outline followed by the introduction of various international programs by Ms. Usui and Mr. Hamabata, International Program Associates.

Afterwards, we had two special speeches.
Dr. Phonpat Hemwan obtained Ph.D. under RONPAKU program and Dr. Wasu Pathom-aree involved with the Core to Core program.

Both two said that they could earn a lot of meaningful experiences with Japanese researchers and students through the programs they were involved.
We believe that this guidance seminar was quite useful for the audience to understand JSPS programs.
