JSPS Alumni Association of Thailand (JAAT) held FY2015 Bridge Fellowship Program nominating committee meeting on March 16, 2015 at JSPS Bangkok Office.
The nominating committee consists of six members; Dr. Paritud Bhandhubanyong, committee chair, Dr. Sunee Mallikamarl, President of JAAT, Drs Jiraporn Shauvalit, Suratwadee Jiwajinda, and Kittisak Sawanyawisuth, JAAT board members and Prof. Kuniaki Yamashia, Director of JSPS Bangkok Office.
The BRIDGE Fellowship Program is provided exclusively for regular members of officially established JSPS alumni associations who have conducted research activities in Japan under the Postdoctoral Fellowships for Foreign Researchers or other JSPS programs. It gives them an opportunity to create, sustain and/or strengthen research collaborations with Japanese colleagues.
After the just and transparent deliberation, JAAT decided to recommend Dr. Vannarat SAECHAN, Lecturer of Faculty of Veterinary Science, Prince of Songkla University to FY2015 Bridge Fellowship from among the 5 applicants. The Nominee from JAAP is subject to be approved by JSPS headquarters. Dr. Vannarat joined the JSPS guidance session in Prince of Songkla University in February, 2014. JAAT expects Dr. Vannarat to promote JAAT activities in Songkla area as a representative of southern part of Thailand.
