JSPS Bangkok Office held the online meeting “1st JSPS Alumni Association President Meeting in South and South East Asia” on September 4th. The meeting was attended by the presidents and vice-presidents of seven alumni associations which include India, Bangladesh, Thailand, the Philippines, Nepal, Indonesia, and Malaysia (*).
At the beginning of the meeting, Director Otani delivered opening remarks, followed by presentations from each alumni association outlining their activities. Subsequently, there was a discussion about the benefits of joining the JSPS alumni associations. Since there had been limited opportunities for discussions and exchanges of ideas among the 7 alumni associations in the past, this meeting facilitated lively exchanges of ideas among them.
