The theme of this seminar was “COVID-19 PANDEMIC: CRISIS TO HOPE”.
The seminar started with the Welcome Address by Prof. Dr. Tuhin Suvra Roy, BJSPSAA General Secretary and Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University, Dhaka, which were followed by Opening Remarks by Dr. Yoshio Otani, Director, JSPS Bangkok Office.
In the seminar, five speakers made presentations related with the theme “COVID-19 PANDEMIC: CRISIS TO HOPE” from the view of their research fields.
The speakers and respective presentation titles were as follows;

Speaker: Dr. Asadulghani, Head, Biosafety, ICDDR’B, Dhaka
Presentation-3 on “COVID-19 Pandemic: Challenges and Hope in Crop Agriculture”
Speaker: Prof. Dr. Abdul Karim, BSMRAU, Gazipur
Presentation-4 on “Global Impact and Mitigation Strategies of Covid-19 Pandemic on Live Stock Production”
Speaker: Prof. Dr. M. A. M. Yahia Khandoker, BAU, Mymensingh
Presentation-5 on “Impact of COVID-19 Pandemic on fisheries production, marketing and export in Bangladesh”
Speaker: Prof. Dr. A. K. M. Nowsad Alam, BAU, Mymensingh
After the presentations, Remarks were given respectively by His Excellency Mr. ITO Naoki, the Ambassador of Japan to the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, and Prof. Dr. Md. Shahidur Rashid Bhuiyan, Vice-Chancellor, Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University, Dhaka.
The seminar had about 60 participants and finished success with the Address and Concluding Remarks by the Chair Prof. Dr. Lutful Hassan, President, BJSPSAA and Vice-Chancellor, Bangladesh Agricultural University.
Subsequently BJSPSAA Annual General Meeting took place among participants.
