The call for applications for the Postdoctoral Fellowships for Research in Japan (Short-term (PA)) for FY2027 (the JSPS Bangkok Office recruitment) is scheduled to open in August 2026.
* Eligible countries are the ASEAN member countries (Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Viet Nam, and The Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste).

This fellowship provides opportunities for pre- and post-doctoral researchers from ASEAN member countries to conduct cooperative research under the guidance of host researchers at universities and other research institutions in Japan for a period of 1 to 12 months.

■ Date of Entry to Japan:
July 1, 2027 – March 31, 2028
