On the occasion of the 40th anniversary of signing of India-Japan Science and Technology Cooperation Agreement, JSPS India Alumni Association (IJAA) organized “International Conference on Frontier Areas of Science and Technology 2025 (ICFAST 2025)”. This conference consists of two seminars, one in Calicut (October 10, 11) co-organized with National Institute of Technology Calicut (NIT Calicut), and the other in Delhi (October 12) with Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT Delhi).
IJAA invited Dr. YOSHINO Akira, Nobel Laureate in Chemistry (2019) and other 26 researchers from Japan and India to deliver lectures on science and technology and exchanged prospective views with participants.
This conference, which ended in great success, was attended approximately 850 participants including IJAA members, researchers from Japan and India, and students from junior high school, high school and university in India.
From the JSPS Bangkok Office, Director OTANI Yoshio delivered the message of JSPS President Mr. SUGINO Tsuyoshi during the opening ceremony at both venues, and Deputy Director YABUTA Kazumi and International Program Associate HARA Mika gave a presentation about JSPS and its international programs.
