JAAP held “2023 JAAP RESEARCH FORUM, AWARDING CEREMONIES OF THE OUTSTANDING FILIPINO JSPS FELLOWS”

JSPS Alumni Association of the Philippines (JAAP), Department of Science and Technology (DOST), and JSPS Bangkok Office jointly organized the “2023 JAAP RESEARCH FORUM, AWARDING CEREMONIES OF THE OUTSTANDING FILIPINO JSPS FELLOWS ” on November 23rd in Iloilo, Philippines. The theme of this seminar was “Promoting Science-based Technologies for the Sustainable Management of the Environment and Agri-Fishery Resources” and a total of four speakers, including one person from Japan and three persons from Philippines, gave presentations.
At the beginning of the symposium, the Director Otani delivered opening remarks, and International Program Associate Mr. Okuya provided an explanation of JSPS international programs. Next, presentations were given by Dr. Minoru Ikeda, Dr. Hernando Bacosa, Dr. Inocencio E. Buot Jr, and ASEAN Engr. Eulalio C. Creencia such as marine biodiversity conservation and biomass availability in Philippines.
