On August 7, 2021, NAIST Indonesia Office 6th Anniversary Symposium and Indonesian NAIST Alumni Association (INAA) Alumni Reunion 2021 were held by Indonesian NAIST Alumni Association. Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) Bangkok Office was invited as a guest.

The event was opened by welcome remarks by Dr. Kazuhiro Shiozaki, NAIST President followed by greetings from Prof. Dr. Arif Satria, SP, MSi, IPB President and Mr. Yusuke Takahashi, First Secretary, Embassy of Japan in Indonesia, respectively.

Following the opening remarks and greetings, Prof. Jun Ohta, Executive Director/Vice President for Research and International Affairs presented on the topic of ‘the Introduction of history of academic exchanges with NAIST partner institutions in Indonesia’.

After the presentation from Prof. Jun Ohta, the presentations were presented by Prof. Satoshi Nakamura and Assoc. Prof. Sakriani Sakti from the Division of Information Science, Prof. Hiroshi Takagi, Prof. Junya Kato, and Assoc. Prof. Noriaki Sasai from the Division of Biological Science, and Asst. Prof. Mihoko Yamada from the Division of Material Science.

Following the QA session, Ms. Chikako Doi, International Program Associate, JSPS Bangkok Office presented on the topic of ‘JSPS’s Activity in Asia and Collaborative Program in Indonesia’.
