JAAT organized the 3rd EC meeting (FY2018)

On 7 November 2018, JSPS Alumni Association of Thailand (JAAT) organized the 3rd Executive Committee (EC) meeting at the conference room of National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT).

Dr. Kittisak Sawanyawisuth, Secretary of JAAT, reported about the manuscript workshop held at Burapha University in July. Over 100 applications were submitted, that shows a huge demand for such a training opportunity among Thai researchers. JAAT hopes to hold more workshops nationwide in cooperating with NRCT.

Afterwards, we discussed the JSPS-NRCT-JAAT seminar and RONPAKU medal award ceremony, which is annually held in February. This time we will focus on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Thailand and Japan. Among 17 categories of SDGs, the 11th goal “sustainable cities and communities” will be the main topic.

Next JAAT EC meeting will be held on 23 January 2019 to decide details of February events.
