On 8 Septembert, JSPS Bangkok Office organized a JSPS guidance seminar at Burapha University, a national university located in Chonburi Province in southeastern Thailand. We hold the same seminar last year.
There are over 40,000 students in the Burapha University originated from Bangsaen Educational College which was the first regional tertiary educational institute, established on July 8, 1955.
The seminar started with the Welcome address and Opening remarks by Mr. Phonchai Chai-in, Director of Global Relations Center, Burapha University.
Ms. Noriko Furuya, Deputy Director of JSPS Bangkok Office, expressed her gratitude for holding the seminar, and she explained JSPS’s outline. Ms. Akiko Doi and Mr. Kohei Saito, International Program Associate, introduced JSPS international programs respectively.
Afterwards, two JAAT members, Dr. Srirat Lormphongs, who obtained her PhD at Wakayama Medical University under RONPAKU Program, and Dr. Khwanruan Srinui, who obtained her PhD at Hiroshima University too, introduced their experiences such as application process and research activities in Japan by Thai language.
Some 20 participants, mainly young researchers attended. They asked questions about requirements for application and its process and the most of participants showed high interest in JSPS international collaboration program.
