2025年2月20日に、JSPSインドネシア同窓会（JAAI）は「The 8th International Symposium of JSPS Alumni Association of Indonesia」をインドネシアのジョグジャカルタにあるガジャ・マダ大学にて開催しました。「適応力、回復力、持続可能性のあるインドネシアに向けたJAAIの役割」をテーマとし、日本とネパールの研究者がそれぞれ講演を行いました。
らは、大谷センター長が挨拶を行うとともに、福田副センター長がJSPSの事業説明を行いました。
本シンポジウムはハイブリッド形式で開催され、オンラインでは150名の方が視聴しました。シンポジウムでは、各講演セッションに加えて、インドネシア研究者連合（Indonesian Researcher Union）とJSPSインドネシア同窓会（JAAI）の間で覚書の調印式や、JSPSのRONPAKUプログラムの修了生に対するメダル授与式も行われました。
