2019年11月13日（水）午後Hotel Nikko Bangkokで開催されたUMAP International Conference 2019に当センターから冨山副センター長、臼井国際協力員、濱端国際協力員が出席しました。

UMAP（University Mobility in Asia and the Pacific：アジア太平洋大学交流機構）はアジア太平洋地域における高等教育機関間の学生・教職員の交流促進を目的に、政府または非政府の代表で構成されるコンソーシアムです。2016年から2020年の国際事務局を東洋大学が務めています。

今回のイベントは加盟機関同士のネットワーキング作りや情報共有等を目的に、SEA-HiEd Weekの一環として開催されたものです。
“International Student Mobility for the 4th Industrial Revolution (4IR)”をテーマに、以下の通り講演とパネルディスカッションが行われました。

パネルディスカッションでは長年高等教育機関の国際化等に取り組んできたパネリストが自身の経験を紹介されていました。科学技術の発展による社会の変化に合わせた変革の必要に迫られている高等教育において、国際的な流動性を高める意味を参加者に問いかけており、会場全体が熱心に聞き入っている様子がうかがえました。
