2010年12月9日、タイ国立科学博物館（NSM）からの要請を受け、センター長が第3回Science Campに講師として参加した。バンコク郊外のパトゥンタニにある国立科学博物館にて、全国から集まった200名の高校生を対象に、科学技術への導入的な講演“Geospatial technologies for the monitoring of environment and disaster in Asia”を行った。

これはNSMとタイ科学協会（Science Society of Thailand Under the Patronage of His Majesty the King）が若者の科学技術への関心を高めることを目的に実施しているもので、全4日間の日程で、国内外の様々な研究者による講演や活動を集中的に行うものである。当センターとしては今回がはじめての参加であり、今年8月に開催されたタイ科学技術週間の前夜祭に位置づけられる食事会にて、NSMのChen氏と知見を得たことをきっかけに、NSMから呼びかけのあったもの。当センターとしては、今後できるだけ積極的にNSMの活動にも協力をしていきたいと考えている。
