On July 22, 2015, JSPS Bangkok Office held a Guidance Seminar at King Mongkut\u2019s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang (KMITL). KMITL was founded in 1960 as a telecommunications training center under the support by the Japanese government.<\/p>\n

JSPS guidance seminar was kicked off with the opening remark from Asst. Prof. Dr. Chaiyan Jettanasen, Vice President for Division of International Affairs, with around 30 perticipants. JSPS Bangkok Office explained the outline of JSPS, activities of JSPS Bangkok office and the international programs of JSPS, followed by the talk of a former JSPS fellow, Dr. Duangkamol Na Ranong, Department of Chemical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, KMITL. She introduced the application process for the program and her own experience in Japan.<\/p>\n

After the introduction of JSPS programs, representatives of three Japanese higher educational institutions, which have their branch offices inside KMITL campus, introduced the outline of their institutions and international programs; Dr. Kentaro Kato from National Institute of Technology (KOSEN), Asst. Prof. Dr. Worawit Sumha from Fukuoka Institute of Technology (FIT) and Ms. Diyarat Kuhacharoen from Tokai University.<\/p>\n

During Q&A session, many quiestions were raised about international programs of JSPS.
\nIn order to promote JSPS\u2019s international program to highly motivated Thai researchers and further enhance the collaborative research between Japanese and Thai researchers, JSPS Bangkok Office will continue visiting various universities in Thailand to hold guidance seminars.<\/p>\n
