{"id":4038,"date":"2025-06-12T15:35:50","date_gmt":"2025-06-12T08:35:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jsps-th.org\/jsps_en\/?p=4038"},"modified":"2025-07-29T23:49:00","modified_gmt":"2025-07-29T16:49:00","slug":"wpi-centers-innovation-kyushu-university-showcases-carbon-neutral-research-at-expo-2025","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/jsps-th.org\/jsps_en\/2025\/06\/12\/4038\/","title":{"rendered":"WPI Center\u2019s Innovation \u2014 Kyushu University showcases carbon-neutral research at Expo 2025"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>1.Overview<\/strong><br \/>\nKyushu University will participate as a supplier in the \u201cFuture Society Showcase\u201d project at Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan, which will open from April 13 to October 13, 2025.<br \/>\nKyushu University\u2019s Direct Air Capture and Utilization device (known as DAC-U\ud83c\udd2c), which is being developed as part of a NEDO-Moonshot Project led by Professor Shigenori Fujikawa from the International Institute for Carbon-Neutral Energy Research (WPI-I2CNER), will be exhibited to showcase its potential applications for future society.<br \/>\nThe DAC-U\ud83c\udd2c device selectively captures CO2 from the atmosphere using an ultra-thin nanomembrane \u2014developed by Fujikawa\u2014that is just 1\/300th the thickness of plastic wrap.
