On October 26-27, 2024, JSPS Alumni Association of the Philippines (JAAP) held the “6th JAAP INTERNATIONAL RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT CONFERENCE
\n(JAAP-IRDC-6) “in Manila, Philippines, in collaboration with the University of Santo Tomas Manila, Department of Science and Technology (DOST), and our center.<\/p>\n

Dr. Maria Rowena R Eguia, JAAP President, and Director Yoshio Otani gave opening remarks, followed by speeches from Japan by Professor Takayuki Watanabe of Kyushu University, Professor Shinichi Warisawa of the University of Tokyo, and eight researchers from the Philippines.<\/p>\n

Students from the University of Santo Tomas Manila also participated, and they were able to become interested in research in Japan and JSPS projects, making it a valuable opportunity for academic exchange.<\/p>\n
