JSPS provides financial support to Japanese scientists implementing such bilateral joint research projects and seminars between research teams from Japan and counterpart countries.<\/p>\n<p><strong>A. Bilateral Joint Projects\/Seminars with JSPS\u2019s Counterpart Institutions<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>JSPS carries out this program based on agreements concluded with academies, research councils and other science\u2010promotion organizations in counterpart countries(*).<\/p>\n<p>*Counterpart countries in Asia (academic institutions concluded agreements with JSPS)<br \/>\nBangladesh(UGC), China (CAS, CASS, MOE, NSFC), India (DST, ICHR, ICSSR), Indonesia (DGHE, LIPI), Korea (NRF), Singapore (NUS), Thailand (NRCT), Vietnam (VAST), Turkey (TUBITAK)<\/p>\n<p><strong>B. Open Partnership Joint Projects\/Seminars<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>All countries that have diplomatic relations with Japan plus Taiwan and Palestine. However, applicants who wish to implement a project\/seminar with an eligible country under \u201cA. Bilateral Joint Projects\/Seminars with JSPS\u2019s Counterpart Institutions\u201d are recommended to apply under that scheme.<\/p>\n<p>JSPS supports international domestic travel expenses, other expenses, and meeting expenses for joint seminar of researchers only on the Japanese team. As for the deadline of each country, please ask above mentioned academic institutions in your country.
