On 7 November 2018, JSPS Alumni Association of Thailand (JAAT<\/a>) organized the 3rd Executive Committee (EC) meeting at the conference room of National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT<\/a>).<\/p>\n

Dr. Kittisak Sawanyawisuth, Secretary of JAAT, reported about the manuscript workshop held at Burapha University in July. Over 100 applications were submitted, that shows a huge demand for such a training opportunity among Thai researchers. JAAT hopes to hold more workshops nationwide in cooperating with NRCT.<\/p>\n

Afterwards, we discussed the JSPS-NRCT-JAAT seminar and RONPAKU medal award ceremony, which is annually held in February. This time we will focus on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs<\/a>) in Thailand and Japan. Among 17 categories of SDGs, the 11th goal \u201csustainable cities and communities\u201d will be the main topic.<\/p>\n

Next JAAT EC meeting will be held on 23 January 2019 to decide details of February events.<\/p>\n
