On 20 September at Japan Embassy in Bangkok a seminar on \u201cNew technologies of fermentation production\u201d was co-organized by Kasetsart University and Yamaguchi University. The seminar was held under the JSPS-sponsored Core to Core program A, Advanced Research Networks \u201cEstablishment of an international research core for new bio-research fields with microbes from tropical areas”, Japanese core of which is Yamaguchi University.
\nAt the opening ceremony, HE Shiro Sadoshima, Japanese Ambassador to Thailand, Associate Professor Dr. Lily Kaveeta, Acting Vice President of Kasetsart University,\u3000Prof. Kenji Hori, Vice President of Yamaguchi University and Mrs. Panpimon Chunyanuwat, Executive Director of Agricultural Rsearch Development Agency (ARDA) made welcome speeches respectively and followed by opening remarks of Mrs. Yossavadee Ungvichian, Senior Adviser for Research of National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT) and Prof. Yamashita, Director of JSPS Bangkok Office.
