On 26 July, JSPS Bangkok Office organized a JSPS guidance seminar at King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang (KMITL) following the last year. KMITL is a university concerned with science and technology and was founded in 1960 in order to develop such human resources as engineers and coachers, and it still produces a lot of competent human resources.

The seminar started with an opening address by Dr. Pitak Thumwarin, Vice President for Evaluation System and Remuneration, followed by the presentation of JSPS\u2019s outline by Prof. Kuniaki Yamashita, Director of JSPS Bangkok Office, and the introduction of its international programs by Ms. Noriko Furuya, Deputy Director, and Mr. Toshio Ohta, International Program Associate.

Dr. Natthanon Phaiboonsilpa, who researched at Kyoto University as a JSPS Post-doctoral Fellow and now is a member of JSPS Alumni Association of Thailand (JAAT), talked about how to apply for \u201cJSPS Postdoctoral Fellowship for Overseas Researchers Program\u201d and his experience in \u201cScience Dialogue Program\u201d at Ritsumeikan Moriyama Senior High School.

Introduction of Tokai University and Fukuoka Institute of Technology (FIT) that have their Thai office in KMITL were made by Ms. Diyarat Kuhacharoen and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Witsarut Sriratana, respectively.
