The “2nd R-JAAA Meeting (JSPS Alumni Association Presidents Meeting in South and Southeast Asia)” was held from September 4 to September 7, 2024, organized by JSPS Bangkok office.
This time, the meeting was held in Delhi and Assam, India, and representatives from alumni associations from six of the seven countries under the Center’s jurisdiction (India, Thailand, Philippines, Nepal, Indonesia, and Malaysia) participated in the meeting.
*The Bangladesh Alumni Association was absent due to circumstances.

This year, the Indian Alumni Association hosted the meeting, and visited the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT Delhi) and Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) in Delhi, the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT Guwahati) in Guwahati, and participated in the Indian Alumni Association symposium (14th India-Japan Science and Technology Conclave: International Conference on Frontier Areas of Science and Technology (ICFAST-2024)).
In addition, based on these programs, we exchanged opinions on promoting multinational research exchanges.
R-JAAA aims to build a cross-national collaborative system by continuing to communicate in the future.
