On March 10, 2021, an academic seminar “STUDY IN JAPAN” was held by Study in Japan Global Regional Office in ASEAN, Bangkok Branch, in cooperation with Mahidol University. JSPS Bangkok Office, Chiba University, and Okayama University participated in the seminar.
The seminar was opened with greetings by Mr. Yusuke Nii, Coordinator of Study in Japan Global Regional Office in ASEAN, Bangkok Branch, which were followed by the guidance about the higher education system in Japan, eligibility, and scholarship, etc., by Ms. Kamonrat Shenwirattanapith, Assistant Officer of the branch.
After Ms. Shenwirattanapith’s guidance, Dr. Yoshio Otani, Director of JSPS Bangkok Office, had an introduction of the JSPS international programs.
Subsequently, Prof. Dr. Hikari Ishido from Center for Relational Studies on Global Crisis, Chiba University, made a short lecture and an introduction of Chiba University.
In the last part of the seminar was the presentation by Ms. Sasikarn Seetasang, who is currently studying at Graduate School of Natural Science and Technology, Okayama University. She introduced Okayama University, the scholarship to support her study in Japan, and her university life under this COVID-19 related confusion.
The seminar was initially scheduled to be held on site at Mahidol University, which resulted in online style. It had about 30 attendees.
