JSPS guidance seminar was held at Silpakorn University

On 18 February 2019, the JSPS Bangkok Office had a guidance seminar at Silpakorn University (SU) Sanamchandra Palace Campus. SU is a national university which consists of 13 faculties. Before SU became a university in 1943, it was the School of Fine Arts. Still now SU has a high reputation in the field of art, such as painting, architecture, and music.

At the beginning of the seminar, Dr. Nantanit Wanichacheva (Assoc. Professor and Assistant to the President for Research) who kindly hosted this event, gave a warm welcome address. Afterward, Director Prof. Yamashita and Mr. Niihara (International Program Associate) introduced JSPS’s activity in Asia and its international programs which are recommended for Thai researchers.

We are very glad to have a JSPS guidance seminar at Silpakorn University for the first time. Hoping our seminar was informative enough and many researchers utilize JSPS international programs to foster academic interaction between Thailand and Japan.
