JSPS guidance seminar at Srinakharinwirot University

On May 30, JSPS Bangkok Office organized JSPS guidance seminar at Srinakharinwirot University in Bangkok. The university is a leading national university which produces a lot of teachers and government workers.
Meiji University ASEAN center, located at Srinakharinwirot University, kindly cooperated and supported to make the seminar successful.
It started with a Welcome address by Prof. Hiroyuki Konuma, Director of Meiji University ASEAN center and Assoc. Prof. Prit Supasetsiri, Vice President for International Relations and Public, and Dr. Pathomthat Chiradeja, Director for Srinakharinwirot University Strategic Wisdom and Research Institute (SWRI), also gave a welcome address.

Prof. Kuniaki Yamashita, Director of JSPS Bangkok Office, expressed his gratitude for holding the seminar, followed by the presentation on JSPS’s outline by Ms. Noriko Furuya, Deputy Director, and the introduction of its international programs by Ms. Akiko Doi and Mr. Kohei Saito, International Program Associates respectively.

Afterwards, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sorasun Rungsiyanont, Department of Oral Surgery and Oral Medicine, Faculty of Dentistry who obtained PhD at Tokyo Medical and Dental University under RONPAKU program, made presentations.
He introduced his experience such as application process and research activities in Japan with humor and pictures.

There were around 50 participants, twice of last year, from young researchers to experienced researchers and most of participant were showing high interest in JSPS international collaboration program.
