On July 7, JSPS Bangkok Office held a guidance session at Pathumwan Institute of Technology (PIT) attended by 10 participants. PIT, established in 1932 as the first technical school in Thailand and became authorized as a higher education institution in 2004, has been committed to the education in the field of applied science research and technology.
Since 2014, JSPS Bangkok Office has been introducing Japanese governmental (Monbukagakusho) Scholarship as well as JSPS RONPAKU program, responding to the demand of obtaining Ph.D. degree. JSPS Bangkok Office member recommended to utilize networks with partner universities. PIT has developed strong relationship with Nagaoka University of Technology and Toyohashi University of Technology.
